Turkey Day
This yea we celebrated Thanksgiving Day with the Adams side of the family. I just love when the family gets together! There is always lots of laughing, story telling and of course lots and LOTS of food!
These are the cute table favors that Melanie made for everybody.
MMMM Foooood!
After we were all stuffed to the gill we broke out Dance Party. It is a really fun game but but not as much fun when you are so stuffed you can barely move.
Later that evening came one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving day and that is going going through the ads. Black Friday shopping is one of my favorite traditions that I do with my sisters. We are the crazy people that wait in line all night. We have so much fun being silly together.

Snow Costumes and Snowmen
So do you know what snow costumes are? I didn't either. We got home from church on Sunday and Liza kept asking if she could put on her snow costume. After asking several more times "put on your what?" we figured out that she meant her coat and snow pants so she could go play in the snow. OOOHHHHH snow costumes!
Since this is the first snow that has really stuck the kids were very excited to go outside and build a snowman.
They all worked together for a while but after a little while Morgan and Allie got too cold and the rest of the building was left to Cam and Liza.
I was impressed! They did a very good job. They even went into the dressup bucket to find a hat for the snowman.

Hair Cuts
So all of my girls have been needing a haircut but Allie was definitely the one that needed it the most. Her hair had grown out very uneven and she was beginning to look like an unloved orphan child. So i pulled out the scissors and had a go.
(before)
I was actually pretty proud of myself. I don't think I did too bad! It was actually even and everything.
(after)
So then of course Morgan wanted her hair cut too. I don't know what it is but I have a thing for long hair and I love Morgan's long blonde hair. She loves her hair cut to her shoulders so I took a deep breath and went again.
(before)
Again, I am the bomb if I do say so myself!
(after - a little harder to tell but it is to her shoulders)
Liza came running upstairs when Morgan was done because that meant it was her turn (I guess). She tried really hard to convince me that she wanted her hair shorter then Allie. But like I said before I LOVE long hair, even though I don't know why. It is not like I take the time to do beautiful styles with their hair everyday. It is a good day if I get my own hair done. But anyways, I was a mean mom and I am just not ready to give full hair control over. So she just got a trim. She was very upset about the whole thing and carried on her pouty act for quiet awhile. But she is fine now.

Christmas Ornaments 2010
The Moon Family does one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Every year we exchange homemade Christmas ornaments. I always dread the "what am I gonna do this year?" but I always love how they turn out and I absolutely love my collection of handmade ornaments.

This year I made reinker ornaments. They were really easy and fun to make and even even Paul joined in on the fun and helped me make them.
You start off with a clear glass ornament and add about 20 drops of inkpad reinker.
You start off with a clear glass ornament and add about 20 drops of inkpad reinker.
Then you roll the ink around until the entire inside of the ornament is well coated. You don't want to shake becasue that will create bubbles in the ink.
Then you let all of the access ink drain out into a cup or jar.
Then you fill the ornament with several TBS of super fine glitter.
Now you get to shake shake shake
Then you dump out the excess glitter and you have a very pretty, sparkly ornament
Paul and I had a lot of fun experimenting with different colored inks and glitters and all of the ornaments turned out beautiful.
