A Girl's Spa Night

My sister Carla had a really fun idea and through a Girl's Spa Night for all of the sisters, sister in laws, older nieces and my mom.  Carla served us a really yummy dinner and then we brought out all of our supplies.  We did nails and Carla taught us an awesome way to do glitter toes without the acrylic.

We did face masks, and a coupe brave ladies tried waxing.

We also did foot soaks, that was probably my favorite.

The night was so much fun!  We had a great time joking and laughing with (and a little at) each other.

A Weekend Project (plus a couple days)

A couple weekends ago Paul decided that it was time to redo the roof on our poor shed.  There were water spot on the ceiling inside and sever of the shingles had began to fall off.  We had been toying with the idea of getting a new larger shed the last couple years but we could just never find the extra money for it so he decided to just save this one.

Cam got in on the help as well.  Cam had a blast working on the shed with his dad and he turned out to be a lot of help.

It took 2 days to redo the roof and when the boys were just about done we decided that we should paint it too.  We have hated the ugly blue and its bad when people can spot your house from the road because of something that is in your backyard!   So just to refresh your memory this is the ugly blue.

The whole family got in on the painting and we really had a lot of fun.  We had a pair of shoes that ended up with more pain on them the the entire shed, but it was really fun to all work together.

We got all but the trim finished on Saturday.  I was going to finish the trim up wither Monday or Tuesday but it rained and was cold for a lot of the week.  So the trim didn't get painted till the next Saturday.  But look how pretty it is all finished.

Both Paul and I are amazed at how well it looks!  (I am not as amazed because I picked the colors and I KNEW how awesome it would look.)

Just for Logan!

This post is entirely for my handsome nephew Logan.

This cute little boy and my daughter are cousins and BFF's.  That is their words not mine.  Logan's mother told me that when ever she reads my blog Logan is by her side and just picks out all the pictures of Liza.  A couple days later she told me that Logan brought a flower home from church on Mother's Day but Logan insisted it wasn't for her it was for Liza.  So I decided that I was going to make Logan's day.

So Logan this blog is just for you!

And guess what!  Liza loves Logan too!!

Las Vegas

Paul's Mom wanted to surprise her sweet hubby with Wayne Newton tickets in Vegas and it wasn't long before all of us were joining in on the surprise.  Bob was pretty surprised and very excited about our little vacation.  We borrowed a BIG van and most of us loaded in for the trip down on Friday morning.  This is all of us (except Paul and I, we were in the front).

Of course on the first night our dinner stop had to be the crab buffet.  YUMMMM!  I had 2 HUGE plates of crab and then had 2 pieces of lemon meringue pie that was absolutely amazing.  (bye bye ww)

The next day we visited the Gold & Silver Pawn which is where Pawn Stars is filmed.  Paul and I love this show and actually walking inside was probably the highlight of my whole trip.  We also got our picture taken with the Old Man, although I have to tell you I felt kind of bad cause he acted like he was so board and wanted nothing to do with us tourists who wanted pictures.

While Mom & Dad where at the Wayne Newton Show we walked the strip and saw some of the shows.  I can't believe it has been 8 years since we lived there.  A lot of things have changed and what I remembered being pretty cool were actually very lame.

The next day was our leaving day but we were all putting it off cuz none of us really wanted to leave.  So went back to the strip and walked around a little bit more.  We visited the M&M store and the coke store.  Here we are getting our picture taken with the Coke Bear.

The trip was so much fun and I am so glad that Mom & Dad were able to see Wayne at his last show.
