Our trip to Wyoming

For Memorial Weekend we found our way back home to Riverton Wyoming to spend time with Paul's parents.  The weekend seemed so short because we packed so much fun stuff in.  Of course we started the whole vacation off by stopping at The Breadboard in Lander.  I wanted to take a picture of my amazing chicken salad sandwich but once I saw that beauty I completely forgot about the camera and it quickly made its way into my belly.  MMMMM!

We stopped at Grandpa's work and all the kids got to help feed his little fishy friends. The kids always love feeding his fish.

We pulled out Grandpa's pressure washer and gave all the cars a bath.  The kids got a big kick out of using the pressure washer and it made Paul want one even more.

The next day we went to Thermopolis to go swimming.  I was so excited for this and knew the kids would have a ton of fun.

After we were done and tired from swimming Grandpa made us a BBQ lunch with yummy hamburgers and hotdogs (of course there was Adam's Dip too!)

While we were waiting to fill our empty tummies the kids ran off even more of their energy at the park.

After lunch we took the boardwalk around to see some of the hot pools.  It was a lot of fun.

Then we went on the Buffalo drive to find some Buffalo.  This little guy was only about 15 feet off the road.  He was HUGE!

We also found some cool rocks to take our pictures in.  The kids asked how these were made and all I could think of was the layers in a jawbreaker.  I really should have paid better better attention in science class.

On the way home we stopped at the dam.  I cannot remember it's name but we were amazed at how much water they were letting through.  We had never seen it like that before.

(The kids thought it was funny that we kept saying a naughty word even though we tried to explain to them the difference)

Another thing I got to do while in Riverton was visit my Daddy's grave and put new flowers up.

The entire trip was a lot of fun and we were fed very well.

Although I have never felt too old until we drove into town and everything I said started with "When I was younger.."

Look at What I Did!!

So I am a total blog stalker when it comes to craft blogs.  I have a ton of things saved in a "want to do" file.  Well last weekend a good friend of mine had a yard sale to raise money to adopt another baby.  Someone had donated these plates to her and I knew I had the perfect project for them.

So this is what I did.

First I took a profile picture of each of my kids.

I carefully cut out their profiles

I traced their profiles onto the back of vinyl.  I really wanted to do black but didn't have any so decided to do the dark brown and I really like how they turned out.

I carefully cut them out and then stuck them to transfer paper.

I also cut their names out in the same vinyl on my Craft Robo.

The finished product!

I love how they turned out!
While I was at the yard sale I also talked my friend into taking her wall plate hanger thing (do they have an actual name?) and sell that to me as well.

I hung it above the stairs in my kitchen and I just love how it looks!

Thanks Ashley, I couldn't have done any of it without your yard sale!
