Washington DC

On April 2nd My mom, older sister and I flew out of the Salt Lake City airport heading towards Washington DC. The flight was about 4 hours long but was a nice smooth flight. Once at the Dulles airport My older brother picked us up. The next five days was was full of sight seeing, good food (most of the time), and lots of catching up. My brother moved to West Virginia last July for work. Him and his family our only living there for a year and then are coming back home. I am so excited for them to move back.
So anyways, went to see the Washington DC Temple (we were going to do a session but got sidetracked looking for some dinner. So we didn't get to go inside but we did get to walk around the grounds. It is a beautiful temple. Since we still hadn't eaten we finally found a mall and went inside to find something to eat. We all decided on an Italian restaurant. During dinner My Sis-in-law actually found a prechewed piece of gum in her dinner. We all pretty much lost our appatite. It was so nasty!
We also went to Arlington Cemetary, The Haloucost (yup, can't spell) Museum, The Museum of American History where we got to see the ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz. We saw the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, The White House, Union Station, The Capitol and the National Zoo. My favorite was the day we went to Gettysburg. I learned a lot there and found it all so interesting.
After long days of sightseeing we would return to my brothers house and eat and play 3's & 4's (a fun card game). The whole trip was so much. Thank you so much to my brother and sis-in-law for putting up with us and being out tour guides.
